Oregon Jamboree
Taking place in the small town of Sweet Home, Oregon, the Jamboree is the Northwest’s premier country music event. The three-day festival features top country artists and up-and-coming talent and also hosts RV and tent camping, food booths, beer & wine gardens and other activities.

Last year, Cole Swindell and Koe Wetzel headlined the event, which has been around for over 25 years. Other performers included Runaway June, Dylan Scott, The Cadillac Three, and Neal McCoy. The lineup for 2025 has yet to be announced, but you can expect an incredible show from some of the biggest names in country music.

The event is held on a large site, so it’s best to bring plenty of comfortable footwear and sun protection. A shuttle bus will be available to transport guests between the RV and tent areas of the event.

Sunriver Music Festival
The Sunriver Music Festival fills Central Oregon with world-class music in August 2024. Artistic Director & Conductor Brett Mitchell leads world-class orchestra musicians and acclaimed soloists in four classical concerts, one pops concert, a brilliant solo violin recital and a family-friendly “Discover the Symphony” concert. The season opens at the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend and ends at Sunriver Resort’s historic Great Hall.

GRAMMY-nominated pianist Joyce Yang dazzles with her virtuosity and lyricism. She has won many prestigious international competitions, including the silver medal at the 12th Van Cliburn Piano Competition.

The Sunriver Music Festival supports local school music programs with grants and scholarships. They provide a unique, fun and creative opportunity for students to learn music and express their individual creativity. They also help Three Rivers Schools buy and maintain instruments, printed music and more.

Fairwell Festival
Following a successful inaugural event, the Fairwell Festival returns to the Deschutes County Fairgrounds July 19-21 with an impressive lineup led by Billy Strings and Brandi Carlile. In addition to these headliners, the festival will feature sets from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Ryan Bingham with the Texas Gentlemen, Whiskey Myers, Black Pumas, The Revivalists, J.R. Carroll, pup tent and LeAnn Rimes.

In addition to the music, festival goers can enjoy a wide variety of activities. For instance, they can try their hand at line dancing or indulge in local food and craft beer. Those looking for an immersive experience can also buy on-site camping passes. These include RV and Primitive Car Camping Passes, which are available with festival tickets.

Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and a hat, as you’ll be walking a lot. Pack a water bottle and sunscreen, and download the festival app to keep up with updates. It’s best to arrive early each day, as parking can fill up fast.

Northwest String Summit
Twenty years ago, a small group of bluegrass bands started a special festival in Eugene. The festival was called Northwest String Summit and it grew to become a staple for families who created and shared joy with this close-knit community.

The 2022 lineup features a variety of artists including Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Sierra Hull, Keller & the Keels and Ghost Light. The event will take place at Horning’s Hideout from July 21-24.

Highlights of the weekend include Greensky Bluegrass and Umphrey’s McGee, both of which will perform two sets each. Also performing will be Yonder Mountain String Band, Del McCoury Band, Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters and Fruition. In addition to the music, the festival will feature a variety of activities, from camping to crafts and more.

Sisters Folk Festival
Featuring over a dozen diverse performers across seven venues in the charming mountain town of Sisters, this discovery music festival will leave your toes tapping. With a theme of “All the Town’s a Stage,” Sisters Folk Festival presents artists from all over the world who bring multiple genres of roots music to life on stages throughout downtown.

Highlights include songwriters in the round and workshops that will show you the secrets behind the music. This year’s lineup includes Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Alex Cuba, who combines tradition with global influences to create articulate arrangements that convey emotion through melody and lyrics.

In addition to soaking up the beats, guests can enjoy stunning natural surroundings, local cuisine, and unique shops. Make the most of your time at the festival by staying in a cozy vacation rental.
